Animal Dental Clinic

The best in the prevention and treatment of animal dental disease

Welcome to the Animal Dental Clinic. Since 1982, we have been providing dental care and expertise to San Francisco Bay area veterinarians, clients, and our patients, and their pets.  Dr. Holmstrom is semi-retired this year and has sold his practice to his associate, Dr. Cristine Mincheff.  They are joined by Dr. Slava Eroshin.  Drs Holmstrom and Eroshin are Board Certified Veterinary Dental specialists through the American Veterinary Dental College.  Dr. Mincheff will be taking her Board Certification examinations in 2014.

Two registered veterinary technicians and an office manager complete the staff of dedicated, caring animal lovers.   This committment to animal health and well being is one of the reasons all the staff volunteer their services with various Wildlife and Exotic Animal groups throughout the Western United States.  Dr. Holmstrom is well-known for his work with marine and exotic mammals.  We deliver state-of-the-art dental care to our patients.  We will work with your veterinarian to provide the best possible care for your pet.

There is a new fad in pet care and on the surface it may sound good. But as is often the case, this fad is potentially harmful for your pets, likely illegal and misleads the public. It is called Non-anesthetic dental scaling or "standing dentals".

Animal Dental Clinic provides basic oral health examinations and cleanings as well as advanced dental care such as root canal therapy, braces and oral surgery.

Client education is very important to us. We believe that we serve our patients best by working together with you and your primary care veterinarian to help keep your pet healthy.

Our dental operatories are equipped similarly to a human dental office including state of the art dental units, dental x-ray with digital dental radiography units and computerized dental charting software for dogs and cats.

Since all animal dental patients are treated under general anesthesia, we custom design our anesthetic protocol and vital life sign monitors to give pets the best possible individual care while under anesthesia.
